D STRING (8U) RESULTS:

EAST BREMERTON (BLUE) 18
East Bremerton was able to overcome 105 penalty yards enroute to victory over Silverdale. Terill Anderson scored on a 72 yard punt return, Kaden Tomlinson scored on a 57 yard punt return and a 53 yard run from scrimmage to put the game out of reach at 18 to 6. Chandler Manson had Silverdale’s only score, a 32 yard reverse, to bring Silverdale to within 6, until Tomlinson scored again in the 3rd quarter to put it away for good.


B STRING (12U) RESULTS:
EAST BREMERTON 28
CHICO 6
Christopher Groat scored on a 10 yard pass from Howard McDonald on the opening drive, and Howard McDonald went on to rush for 140 yards on 21 carries and score on a 12 yard run in the 3rd quarter to put it out of reach. Shawn Glover added 53 yards on 13 carries with a 10 yard touchdown run in the 1st quarter. Brett McDonald scored East Bremerton’s last touchdown on a 1 yard quarterback sneak. Andre Moore scored Chico’s lone touchdown on a 15 yard pass play.

Chico scored first and never looked back. Alex Griffin was busy running up the score for Chico in this much anticipated contest. For East Bremerton, Ross Payne had 45 yards on 7 carries and 45 yards receiving and an 80 yard kickoff return for the touchdown to bring the East Bremerton crowd to their feet. Corey Brown rushed 10 times for 104 yards and 2 touchdowns of 65 and 5 yards. Chris Lane rushed 8 times for 37 yards and was 4 for 8 passing for 99 yards and 1 touchdown. Joey Johnston caught a 47 yard pass and threw another 30 yard pass to Ross Payne for the touchdown.
JUNE 19, 2004 BASEBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS AT CHICO FIELD
East Bremerton swept the county Pee Wee championships. The B string (13-1), behind Howard McDonald, beat Chico 13-1. McDonald allowed only three hits over six innings, striking out 11. He also had a homerun. The C string, avenged its two losses this season by beating North Mason 10-2 for the title. Devin Garcia fanned 12 in six innings for East, and Maurice Brown hit a home run. The D string beat Chico 10-2 in the title game.
