POST SEASON PLAY

Championship Game:

East Bremerton             20

North Kitsap (White)     6

The weather turned to make it a gorgeous Saturday for Football.  East Bremerton brings its undefeated record to the championship to face North Kitsap White.  North Kitsap came looking to avenge its only loss of the season to East Bremerton . This game was all it was hyped up to be!!  Bremerton win’s the toss, and elected to differ.  North Kitsap chose to receive the ball.  EB Defense stood up to the challenge holding North Kitsap, and forcing them to turn over the ball on downs.  From there EB meticulously chewed up the field, balancing it’s offensive plays between passing and running.  First play of the game was a 15 yard pass from Rob Howard to Brian Tyson.  The EB Eagles moved the ball down to the North Kitsap 5 yard line, and Kaden Tomlinson leaped into the end-zone and scored.  Both teams played some tremendous defense.  North Kitsap did a great job of stopping a potent EB offense, and credit also goes to the EB defensive line for stopping an athletic and quick North Kitsap Offense.  Score at half-time was 8-0.

In the second half, it was still a defensive battle.  North Kitsap looked tough coming out of the gate, stopping EB runners for a loss.  On 4th and 9, East Bremerton went for it on their own 45.  Kaden Tomlinson got the call, and ran through North Kitsap defenders, to scamper for a 65 yard TD run.  Two possessions later Terril Anderson busted outside for an 80 yard run from scrimmage for a TD.  North Kitsap furiously tried to rally from behind and drove the ball into EB territory, scoring on a run up the middle.  But it was a little too late.  EB ended up winning 20-6.  This was East Bremerton ’s 2nd championship in three years, and also it’s second undefeated season in three years.

First Round Playoff Game:

East Bremerton             40

North Kitsap (Black)    0

EB won the toss and elected to differ to the second half.  EB kicked off to start the game. NK did well on their first possession.  They moved the ball down to the EB 30 yard line, but that would be as close as they got as EB's defense shut them down.  EB's offense drove down the field by good runs by Jaxen McInnis and Terril Anderson.  Kaden Tomlinson capped of the drive with a 40 yard TD run.  The extra kick by Zeke Gaeta was good.  NK then got the ball, went three and out, and were forced to punt.  EB again drove the ball down the field.  Terril and Jaxen had great runs to get the ball within the two yard line, and Rob Howard scored a TD on a QB Sneak.  Same story, EB's defense held NK to three downs and again forced them to punt.  This time, Kaden ran the punt to the end zone for his second TD of the game.  At half time EB lead 20-0.

In the second half, EB did much of the same.  Kaden ran the ball for 45 yards for his third TD of the game.  Rob Howard threw a beautiful pass to Bryan Tyson for a TD, and Terril scored a TD on a 20 yard sweep. Final score was 40-0.

In this game, both the offense and the defense played outstanding.  Nathan Casey played with MVP caliber on the line!!  This was the best "Team" game that EB has played all year.  Great job by all the boys, and EB is going to be going to Chico to face Chico on Wednesday (November 8) for a semi-final game!!
